I never thought I would have a love of photography. I received my Canon Rebel T5i less than a year ago. The main reason I wanted to get into photography was to improve my travel photos with HDRI. I wanted to remember my travel experience and show them to my friends through the lens of my camera.
My new DSLR camera was difficult to use, but I was determined to master the functions of the camera. I didn’t want to be stuck on the Green Mamba mode (automatic). Aperture, ISO and shutter speed were a few of the camera functions I needed to understand exposure and how they worked in a DSLR camera. Through in-class and online courses, I artistically improved my ability to use my DSLR camera. My favourite online photography course is through Lynda. Here I was able to understand the functions of a DSLR camera better, and also learned how to use the Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom imaging software.
I never considered myself an artist, but now I do – an artist of photography. I love photographing the life on this planet and sharing them with people.
While I’m trying to improve my photography, I feel more people should improve their photography and post-processing techniques, especially since there is a storm of social media sharing. I’m slowly updating this website with free photography tutorials and hope beginners can learn from it.
This world is too interesting to not capture it.
